In addition to our regular Jujitsu training, we offer other specialized programs on an as-requested basis.
Women's Self Defense Programs This multi-day program is a fun-filled and empowering journey through the many facets of women's self defense in the modern world. You will learn a far broader array of theory and self-defense techniques than would ever be possible in our one day seminars, and will come away a more confident, empowered, and savvy individual when it comes to the realities of protecting yourself, your property, and your loved ones. Please see the above brochure for a sample of the structure and content of our seminars. We can also customize programs for one-off or short term women's self-defense seminars for you and/or your group. Let us know what you are looking for, and we can customize a program that's right for you! Pressure-Point Control Tactics (PPCT) Although the knowledge of the locations of pressure points as well as how to attack them has been around for hundreds of years, fairly recently research in police arrest and control tactics has greatly contributed to a much more scientific understanding of how they are affected by various methods of contact. The police PPCT system is made up of only the most practical, effective and easily accessible pressure points. The system is easy to learn, the techniques can be successfully applied by both males and females, and their use can easily be defended in court because of their low propensity to cause serious injury. From a martial artist's point of view this makes PPCT a must-know skill. Persuader Keyholder (Yawara) What makes the Keychain such an ideal tool of self-defense is that everyone needs to carry keys with us at all times; we all need keys for our house, apartment, car, office, mailbox, etc. That makes them readily available for use in a self-defense situation should you ever become the victim of an unprovoked and vicious physical assault. Apart from being very low-profile and non-threatening in appearance, the Keychain techniques themselves are very simple to learn and can be mastered in a few short hours. Due to the tremendous power that keychain blows can generate, persons of all ages and sizes can benefit from its use. Another great advantage is that you do not have to be an Olympic caliber athlete to apply the Keychain techniques forcefully and effectively. No special physical ability is required. General Self-Defense We also provide general self-defense workshops that can be tailored to your specific need. This general course covers introductory levels of:
